What it is

Click someone in the world to see their profile and add them as a friend. The Social window keeps your friends, requests and message threads in one place.

Friends

Send a request; they accept or don't. Your contacts list shows who's online and where they're standing, and you can jump to the gate nearest them.

Messages

Direct messages between two friends, kept as threads. A badge on the Social button tells you when there's something new.

Good to know

All of this opens after the door. Everyone you can message is a verified adult.
Chat in the world is different: it's the bubbles over heads, seen by everyone nearby, and it's off for tourists both ways.
